There’s an AKC sport called Rally that you and your Spinone might enjoy. It’s a teamwork challenge in a structured course judged on how the team completes each skill, not against other participants. If you’re not already steeped in the AKC framework, Rally can be thought of as a gateway event to obedience and/or agility competitions and more.
After puppy obedience classes you might want to engage in Rally events to help you learn to communicate with your dog in a distraction-rife environment. You’ll both get a chance to become familiar with the event framework (entries, judges, rings, policies, procedures, etc.) and it might help you decide if you want to puruse more advanced events.
